Campalot Raidbot

Version 1

Campalot started as a bot named Omnicom. Omnicom's goal was for Omni to take the Tarasque instance from the Clans. Omnicom was started by Vojoc. Vojoc had trouble keeping Omnicom running reliably, so Glarawyn stepped in to provide bot hosting. At the time Omnicom's code was the same code as Hellcom. This code was a fork of IGH Bot. IGH bot used plain text files instead of a database engine to store it's data. this was limiting in adding new functionality and ultimately resulted in switching to a completely new code base.

Version 2

The 2.0 incarnation of Campalot was based on BeBot 0.2.X. Due to the large number of changes the Campalot Version 2.X series is officially a fork of BeBot. Information from the 1.X incarnation of Omnicom/Campalot was imported into the new bot's database. Somewhere along the line the Hellcom administrators obtained the Campalot 2.0 code. Hellcom is unofficially a fork of Campalot 2.0. Many of the improvements made in the Campalot 2 fork of BeBot were later integrated back into BeBot 0.4 and subsequent releases.

Version 3 and Version 4

As BeBot development progressed, it became our goal to keep Campalot's core in lock step with BeBot's core. Campalot Version 3 and 4 are development only, and followed the development of BeBot 0.3 (Development only, testing version of BeBot) and BeBot 0.4 (Release version of BeBot.) A production version of Campalot 3 and Campalot 4 have not been produced.

Version 5 and 6

Like versions 3 and 4, versions 5 and 6 are development versions of Campalot following the BeBot 0.5 and 0.6 development. No production version was released.
